Every brand sizes differently. This gives you a starting size to shop from — always check the
specific harness or collar's own size chart before buying, especially for breeds with an unusually deep chest
or narrow waist (greyhounds, dachshunds). Boots and coats use different measurement points entirely and aren't
covered by this tool.
How to measure your dog
Neck: wrap a soft tape where a collar normally sits, snug but not tight — you should be able to slip two fingers underneath.
Chest: wrap the tape around the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs, after a normal exhale.
