Today’s cliffhanger(GH) left us wondering if Elizabeth was finally going to come clean to Lucky after all this time. Isn’t it time? Geez, you’d think they couldn’t drag this storyline out any more if they tried, but it’s possible. I guess we’ll have to wait until Monday. I on the other hand will be on vacation next week, so I may end up missing the moment! Figures….That’s a soap for you.
An original series I spoke of in February has finally come around. Thursdays at 11pm, Dr. Robin Scorpio and Dr. Patrick Drake will be working the night shift. Jason Morgan also follows them to the show, which is a one hour drama series, which will each be fully inclusive stories that will have a conclusion each episode, unlike traditional soaps. Set your DVR for SOAP Net and catch the series!
A lot of the younger GH cast will be on the show, such as LuLu, Georgie and Maxie, along with a cast of many others you know and recognize.
The first episode premieres July 12, this Thursday night. What will you be watching?
With the passing of Alan at the end of the show, we see Jason feeling vulnerable. He rushed from trouble to try to get there on time, only to arrive moments too late. Tomorrow should have Jason (Steven Burton) showing vulnerability that lately has been a blessing. He’s been stuck in some emotions for too long now, and to finally bring about his vulnerable side again is a good thing. First seeing his reaction to hearing he’s the father of Elizabeth’s baby, and now this. I see a nice slide and I hope it continues.
Carly left Sonny’s with the boys and has above it all chosen Jax. Jax comes home today and is met with some things he’s going to have to consider.
Lucky let go of Elizabeth, only later to be told not to, by Elizabeth herself. She told him she wants to remarry him, but how will he feel when he finds out she’s carrying Jason’s baby.

Friday left us with a large explosion going off at Metro Court and wondering who would survive. Jason carried Elizabeth, and we’re left wondering if she’ll finally tell him she’s pregnant with his child. Sam made it out in time to warn them the lobby is rigged with explosives, but not with enough time for the authorities to storm the building.
Will Emily be left in the blast, since Nikolas carried Robin out? Answers will be coming today and tomorrow of who survives and who doesn’t.
If you haven’t watched General Hospital in awhile, you may want to turn it on. It’s been in a sweeps period, and this is about to change all the relationships on the show. Will Maxi survive, and if she does, will it be a wake-up call? Dillon now knows his feelings for LuLu are stronger, but then again, so does Spinelli. With the spring and summer months coming, they’ll be turning storylines to the younger crowd.
I’m looking forward to the much anticipated return of Scotty Baldwin and wonder if Laura may find her way back to a Luke, Scotty triangle. In Soaps In Depth, ABC Edition- there’s talk of a possible recast of Brenda which would start a Carly, Sonny, Brenda, Jax storyline, though they won’t confirm the suspicion at this time.
I was reading an article over at Soaps.com about a spin off that will be airing on SOAPnet, tenatively called “General Hospital: Night Shift”, though it’s not set in stone. They will be different shows, and there isn’t word on who will be brought over for it, but this is an exciting turn. Previously “Port Charles” was a spinoff that lasted a few years, and bright star Kelly Monaco starred on it, now currenly playing “Sam” on GH. This spinoff though will be a completely different idea.
Each show will be self-contained in a one hour unit. It will not be a soap opera you have to tune it to see what happens next, but rather each show will have a conclusion at the close of the show. It will be more of a drama of type. They are aiming for a young, hip showing, and I for one will be curious to see what actors will be over there. The question is, if they are over there more, will they be off of GH more as well? Time will tell, and I’ll be keeping my ears and eyes open to get more scoop.
They are looking at 13 episodes that are 1 hour in length to start this summer.
When I watch a soap, I like to know what’s coming up! I’ve been watching General Hospital on and off since I’ve been 12. It’s my guilty pleasure. I’ve been going to one particular site for well over 5 years to get my updates, rumors, spoilers and more!

So Manny is alive, or is this some evil twin gone good? Guess time will tell, but I’d like to know how he knew to time it so he was the one in there when Ric was confessing to his sins…ahhh, gotta love soaps.
As for the medical marijuana storyline, I think it can be interesting and will see how they handle it. I hope they touch on the legalities like Alexis mentioned prior to trying it. GH has been good with tackling important issues, so I’m hoping they keep that strength through the chemotherapy issues Alexis is dealing with.
When it comes to the Maxie and Lucky thing…just because there wasn’t a heartbeat…wouldn’t the form of a baby still be showing on an ultrasound….or NOT a form, because she wasn’t pregnant. Wouldn’t they still be able to realize something was off?…oh, and the pregnancy pillow on the chair nobody noticed? Puhhh-lease!
In the real life end of soaps, in ABC Soaps in Depth it was just mentioned Christopher Tyler got engaged after a month with his current flame.
Few things on my mind about my fave soap General Hospital, so here’s a few of my thoughts and ramblings:
Colleen changes her hair color and nobody is going to recognize her? Come on, I change my hair and nobody notices it looks different! Ladies, I know you hear me…Honey, you didn’t even notice I went from being a brunette to a platinum blonde??? Honey, you didn’t notice I cut 6 inches off my hair??? How many women thought that when Colleen went from light to dark hair on the show. Must be the specs that are going to really disguise her!? NOT…ok, it is a soap…enough said.
As for Elizabeth…isn’t it about time Jason found out it’s his? We all know, and every single moment she holds it back, we still know. Jason rehooks up with Sam…perfect time! Guess she’ll be spilling the beans shortly. Where does that leave Lucky? Still unlucky, or hooked again? Let’s dig Maxie out of the mess she’s gotten herself in and give her a life.
And lastly….Nikolas and Emily…bought time! Wonder if the re-igniting of the two onscreen will lead to the re-igninting of the two off screen for a second time? We’ll have to wait and see…
And as for Carly….just face it, you’ll love a lot of men, but why bother going through the process when you know you’ll just end up back with Sonny each and every time. Save yourself the extra steps and just work it out all ready. Love Jax, just don’t like Jax saying…it’s okay for you to run to him over and over again. Enough…Jax and Alexis might need another go.
