Reminder: Groomer Has It Starts Early!

Reminder: Groomer Has It Starts Early!

If you watch “Groomer Has It” on Animal Planet, it starts at 8pm EST tonight, not 9pm.

At 8, there’s a special showing bloopers, unseen footage and other goodies. The actual final show is at 9pm. Just a head’s up in case you weren’t aware of the extra show before the main one!

It’s down to Jonathon and Artist! While Jonathon may be an exceptional groomer, his attitude sucks. (or what they show of it on television. He has a chip on his shoulder. A great groomer, should have a great attitude, and with that in mind, we want Artist to win!)

Phil’s in Trouble

Did you watch Deadliest Catch this week? Phil’s got something going on, coughing up blood, and has a white spot on his x-ray. I hope it isn’t lung cancer. It doesn’t seem like it was actually a broken rib poking his lung after all, but the big slam during the storm aggravated something else.

Phil’s my favorite captain. I was really sad to see him so sick. The thing I hate about this, it’s a reality show, real people, not some made up character and not real health issues. This is real, Phil is a real person. :( Hope he’s okay.

Wipe Out and Japanese Game Shows

We love obstacle games. We used to watch an “Extreme” show on Spike TV awhile back. I forget what it was called, but this was definitely something this new Wipe Out show was based on. Regardless, last night on ABC we were laughing so hard watching everyone do exactly that….Wipe Out! This is a show where people do zany obstacles in the best time and it’s fun to watch.

The next show that came on was “I Survived a Japanese Game Show”, and while we had fun watching it, this elimination thing where each week someone is booted off is getting old. Tired of this. I want to watch a show from start to finish each week. I don’t want to commit to a full season, based on watching one show. While we giggled and enjoyed the game, we prefer to watch the real versions that you can catch on G4 such as Ninja Warrior and Banzuke. My son introduced me to those shows, and they are a blast to watch. This other new version of eliminate someone each week on a reality type show…eh, not so much.

We’ll keep WipeOut! but the Japanese Game Show gets the boot at our house.

Groomer Has It- Down to the Final Two

Jonathon and Artist are the final two contestants remaining. We’re cheering on Artist, and I’ll tell you why. We’re so tired of Jonathon’s snobby attitude, we really could care less if he is a top rate groomer. Honestly, this guy needs to be taken down a peg or two. He’s so into himself, it’s annoying. Okay, okay, so the show is about who is the best groomer…but you know what, I think Artist did fabulous on his test last night.

Mr. Full of Himself Jonathon has hand stripped for years, so why on Artist’s first time ever, did Artist beat him at it? Seriously, I don’t know if it’s just editing, but the boy is a nit pik. He’s constantly putting down others, and nobody is force feeding him those words. Putting down that Artist’s sign was off center last night? Come on..give it a rest.

Artist…we hope you win! Good luck. Artist seems like a nice guy. He works with all types of dogs, works hard and does a nice job. He has a great personality and really shows the spirit of loving what he does.

Tune in next week to see who wins the time of Top Groomer of the Year, along with $50,000 and a new dog grooming van!

Peter Perfect, Don’t Judge a Show by its Commercial!

I’ve got to tell you, the commercials for Peter Perfect had me rolling my eyes and going, no thank you! I was sure this wasn’t a show I’d be interested in. After all Peter is a bit over the top, flamboyant and just well…very exuberant.

Yesterday, I was stuck! I had a dog napping on my lap, and nothing was on that I wanted to watch. I rolled my eyes and said, let’s give this Peter Perfect a chance. Oh.my.gosh! LOVE IT! It’s like Clean House for businesses!

I was sold so much so, that there was a marathon going on, and I watched 4 full episodes in a row! That’s 4 hours of television people. It’s a rare thing for me to sit and watch TV for that long in one sitting! OY!

Want to know the funny thing? My husband loves it now too! Look, in my business I may know about things like memory cards, blogs and freelance writing, but watching him go through other businesses, and showing them how to change things up is great. He doesn’t just redesign a place, he really gives clear focus, goals and reasons behind the changes.

Lastly, he’s a business owner. He’s got a salon in Beverly Hills, so other business owners see that he’s a successful businessman too, and not just talking out of nowhere. He knows what he speaks of! Fun, fun show to watch! I was wrong; so wrong!

I watched him do his magic on a bakery, a salon, a flower shop and a coffee shop. This show is good, and while the people generally start the process with hesitation, the end results are genuine and fabulous. His compassion shows through, as does his style sense, along with people seeing their own business in a new light!

Refreshing and fun; Peter Perfect is a perfect show for me!

Intervention

Have you seen that show Intervention? I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet, but I’d really like to. Usually my husband and I watch TV together at night, and he has the remote. I just realized it’s playing on “On Demand” so I can see it after all.

People are intervened because they have addictions, or are overusing things like stimulants, steroids, alcohol, Phentermine, pain relievers and more. Since I haven’t seen it, I’m not sure if they do follow ups at the end, letting you know how the person is doing. I hope they do, because I’d love to hear success stories of change. Addiction is a lifelong battle, but knowing someone is on the path to recovery is a wonderful thing.

All These Channels and Nothing to Watch!

My pattern has been disrupted. My once day to day morning routine has been shattered. I’m waking up earlier (thanks Jack), waking up faster (thanks Jack), and finding myself in front of the television while I’m adjusting to being up before 7 or 8am. Yes, color me spoiled, but I’m not used to the 6am call of a small dog!

Anyway, this first couple of days, I’m spending extra time making sure the new baby dog adjusts, little dog and big dog adjust to baby dog, and he’s been sleeping on my lap a lot during the day. Rather than being at my computer desk working on projects, I’ve been propped up in front of the television either on the floor, playing with a dog and dog toys, or on my chair, with said baby dog on my lap.

During this time, each hour I jump through the television guide on my tv, hoping that maybe something good will come along to help entertain me. Let me say, it’s VERY hard for me to sit in front of the TV for hours, so this has been interesting. I’m now starting my day with videos on VH1, then switching over to Good Morning America, or Good Day Philadelphia. Once that’s done…man, what do I watch? There’s nothing on daytime TV. I guess I’ve been away from it for awhile, because what I’m seeing is not keeping my attention…

We’re slowly sliding back into my regular pattern, now that baby dog is getting to know our routine a little more. Man, oh man…I can not wait to be back to my regular morning routine. I fear the 6am hour is going to stick awhile longer though! Oh well, I can live with that.

I Love Me Some Niecy

…and some Trish, Matt and Mark. That’s right, we love “Clean House” big time. Luckily, they aren’t going to have to come here and straighten us out, but we do get to enjoy them on the tube.

I remember the first time my husband was watching the show, and I was in the kitchen. I started laughing and going…umm, a little over the top acting don’t you think? Ha, guess what….I fell in love with the show.

It’s the over the top fun antics, the personality of the host Niecy, and all her great helpers and co-hosts that just kick this show up a notch.

If you haven’t given it a try, give it a sit through, and tell me you aren’t giggling along with them. They’re working hard, getting to the core issues, and making it fun in the process. It’s like taking all the class clowns and putting them in a room together with some serious you-need-to-deal-with-this-HOT-MESS!

Ax Men

Ax Men is not really my kind of show. When I try to sit and watch an hour with my husband, I just can’t get in to it Show me a marathon though, back to back, and I’m digging it! I’m finding with a lot of these shows, if I can see a few in a row, I can get into the feel of it. In one hour, it’s hard for me to enjoy it.

Saturday we watched about 4 hours of Ax Men together, and by the end of the marathon (or the portion that we had seen), I was ready for the finale on Sunday.

I’m not sure why in large chunks, I can relate better, but at least now I know. Hubby was happy to see his show, and I was happy to finally get into it.

Ice Road Truckers is next, but I’m not a big fan of that one either. Maybe I need a marathon; we’ll see.

Idol Vs Loser

Now that American Idol is over, I’ll be getting back to watching Biggest Loser again. While I’m working on weight loss myself, the show inspires me to want to keep working hard. I’ve been stuck for awhile, and watching the progress of the contestants fires me up. It makes me want to see change even more.

I’ve been with my trainer for about 9 months now, and have been eating so much better. I have found a problem with my insulin, and that’s now being taken care of. I’m hoping to see some changes again soon. I guess it’s just a matter of time, and the right combination.

I was torn when American Idol started when the new Biggest Loser did, because I had to choose one or the other. I chose Idol obviously, but I really missed Loser.
