Hairspray!
What a fun movie to watch. From the opening song, to the closer, I was tapping my feet, smiling and having a blast watching this show. The actors were carefully chosen, and each does a slam up job in their part. Michelle Pfeiffer as the villain, Chris Walken as the father, John Travolta as Edna, Amanda Bynes as the best friend, Queen Latifah shines as Mabel, and of course Niki as the lead Tracy.
A smile was across my face and my husband at one point passed through the room to get a drink, but ended up standing in place watching a scene for a few minutes. The music is catchy, and watching the dancing was a hoot. I saw the original, and don’t remember loving it this much. Maybe it was the magic the cast pulled together, but this made me want to hit replay after I watched it the first time.
