Are They All the Same?
Know how I ranted the other day about celebrity overload and gossip magazines? Oh yeah, I love them, I just think sometimes we really go overboard invading privacy.
ANYWAY, with that being said, I was on the Auto Train, which is a 17 hour trip to Florida, so I had plenty of time to read. I had been saving magazines and it was killer not reading them right away! I read a bunch going, but coming back North, I read 5 gossip mags during the trip. That’s right, 5. I then realized after paging through them all like sweet, succulent candy, that they are all replicas of the others. Many have the same pictures and are repeated. Maybe it was the sitting and reading them all together and at one time. I realized that I could pick one, and skip the rest.
Of course, I tried to cut back before, but seeing them one after the other it hit me. Wasting my money!!!! I’ll just be getting my US Weekly, and grabbing the rest of the gab fest worth gossip on the web. After going through all of them, there are a few things that stood out to me…
Brit is in serious trouble. That girl just doesn’t understand boundaries…She needs a SERIOUS wake-up call.
Pamela Anderson getting wed in moments, yet again, is really such a sad thing for her children. Think of the example she’s setting. It’s okay to marry anyone and just for moments in time. Seriously, do you think it will last more than a few moments in time?
Carrie Underwood gets prettier by the moment!
Anytime I see a picture of Paris Hilton or Perez Hilton for that matter, they annoy me for no particular reason. (And yet, yes, I read Perez Hilton’s blog, funny, eh?)
Katie Holmes really is stunning when she does herself up. She’s gone from librarian to style icon.
I hate how every celebrity any more chooses some weirdo-freakish name for their child. Not something that you can go…oh that’s pretty, instead you go WTF?
Rumer Willis handing out statues at an award show…um, yeah. These days are you “known” based on your parents being known? I guess so….
